THE SHORT FILM DAYS INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL WILL BE HELD IN MOSCOW ON 14-21 DECEMBER 2025.
Since 2011, the International Short Film Day has been celebrated worldwide on December 21 on the initiative of the Centre national du cinéma et de image animée (France)!
Russia is no exception – in 2014, the All-Russian action “Day of Short Films” took place for the first time in our country.
In 2022, the project received the status of an international film festival and was held with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives as “Short Film Days”. We invite you to take part in the film festival in 2025 and spend the longest winter evenings among our friends and partners!

«Dear friends, I would like to express my heartfelt welcome to the participants and guests of the 11th International Short Film Days Festival. I believe this is an extremely important event, as I know from my experience that short films are not easier to shoot than long ones. Sometimes this task is even more challenging. The importance of the festival is unquestionable. The films presented at the festival will be shown at thousands of venues in Russia and abroad. This festival was the beginning of the creative careers of such remarkable directors as Alexey Nuzhny, Nikita Vlasov, Ivan Sosnin, Nikolay Rybnikov. The creative atmosphere that has developed at the festival over many years encourages both the organizers and participants to continue the important work for our country - the development of the film industry. I am very enthusiastic about this event, I follow closely those who win and take part in it, and I am absolutely sure that Short Film Days is a forge of budding cinematography. I am pleased to congratulate everyone on the holiday of young cinema!»
Nikita MIKHALKOV, Chairman of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia
