THE SHORT FILM DAYS INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL WILL BE HELD IN MOSCOW ON 14-21 DECEMBER 2024.
Since 2011, the International Short Film Day has been celebrated worldwide on December 21 on the initiative of the Centre national du cinéma et de image animée (France)! Russia is no exception: our country hosted the first All-Russian Short Film Day event initiated by the Youth Centre of Russia’s Union of Filmmakers in 2014.
In 2022, the project received the status of an international film festival and was held with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives as “Short Film Days”. We invite you to take part in the film festival in 2024 and spend the longest winter evenings among our friends and partners!

«Dear friends, I would like to express my heartfelt welcome to the participants and guests of the 10th International Short Film Days Festival. I believe this is an extremely important event, as I know from my experience that short films are not easier to shoot than long ones. Sometimes this task is even more challenging. The importance of the festival is unquestionable. The films presented at the festival have been shown at thousands of venues in 30 countries around the world. Wonderful film directors such as Andrei Bogatyrev, Alexei Nuzhny, Ivan Sosnin track their creative career from this festival. I think that the atmosphere of the festival encourages the desire to hold it and take part in its screenings for 10 years. I am very enthusiastic about this event, I follow closely those who win and take part in it, and I am absolutely sure that Short Film Days is a forge of budding cinematography. I am happy to congratulate everyone on the festival's anniversary!»
Nikita MIKHALKOV, Chairman of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia
