ALL-RUSSIAN SHORT FILM DAY WILL TRADITIONALLY BE HELD IN RUSSIA AND OTHER COUNTIRES FOR THE 8TH TIME AT THE END OF THE YEAR, FROM DECEMBER 13 TO 21, THE SHORTEST DAYS OF THE YEAR.
The International Short Film Day has been celebrated on December 21 since 2011 on the initiative of the Centre national du cinéma et de l'image animée (France). Public screenings run at various venues – in cinema theatres, pubs, theatres, on TV channels, at universities, libraries, schools, on internet portals, at trade centres, museums, etc. Russia held this event for the first time in 2014 on the initiative of the Youth Centre of the Russian Union of Cinematographers. The project was supported by the Presidential Grant Foundation in 2019 and 2020.
