12:30 – 14:00 Panel Discussion: Short Films 2.0: The Vertical Video Revolution. Does the Future Belong to Microdramas?
Moderator: Katerina Pshenitsyna, expert in international distribution and co-production, author of the TG channel on international work t.me/pshenitsyna_kate
The panel discussion is dedicated to the microdrama format and its role in the transformation of short films, world practices and the ‘gold standard’ of Chinese microdrama. Russian and foreign experts will discuss the composition of short dramas, their audience and markets in Russia and the world, as well as approaches to monetization and co-production. The programme will conclude with a presentation of the KinoLenta platform and a programme to support Russian microdrama creators.

Moderator: Omer Shakir Abacioğlu, producer, Director of Content at Limex Turkye.
How does microdrama composition work? Why don’t the usual screen writing rules work anymore and which ones are taking their place? We will discuss this at a master class with the film festival special guest, WenWen Khan, CEO of the Short Drama Alliance.

14:00 – 15:00 Presentation of the Turkish film industry.

Moderator: Alexey Govorukhin, CEO of ANO Kinoindustria
The presentation of the Turkish film industry will give a comprehensive picture of the national film market as of 2025 and its position in the international arena. The master class will outline the production volumes of films and TV series, key box office trends, audience specifics, as well as the impact of Netflix and other VOD-platforms on the development of the industry.  
Special attention will be paid to the factors that have made Turkish content popular abroad, in particular among Russian viewers and in the CIS countries. The market mechanisms, opportunities for international partners and models of co-production in cooperation with Russia will also be analysed. Besides, one of the blocks will be devoted to the practical experience of joint production and the prospects for projects within cooperation between Turkey, Russia and the CIS countries.

The event will open an opportunity to young artists to present an actor’s card, a showreel, or a short monologue to an Expert Board that includes casting directors, directors, producers, and representatives of leading film studios. The finalists will receive diplomas, professional prizes, and an opportunity to further cooperate with production companies and casting directors as a outcome of the selection.

14:00 Panel Discussion: Challenges and opportunities for young cinematographers’ integration into the film industry.Presentation of the MovieStart study.
The study is devoted to the key problems of integrating newcomers into the film industry. The paper presents the main barriers that authors face when moving from short films to their debut. The research is based on the survey of the participants of the Short Film Days and Let’s Live film festivals of the last three years, who made proposals for the development of the industry of debut and short films.
