GIANLUCA ZONTA
DIRECTOR'S BIO:
Gianluca Zonta, born in 1980, holds a degree in Computer Science and Cinematography from the ADAMS University. He studied at the Carlo
Mazzacurati’ School, scriptwriting department. In 2009, he created the first Italian web series ‘COPS’. In 2015 he was the finalist for the Solinas Award for his screenplay for the film ‘Teresa, Luisa and #NotteRosa’. He has directed numerous short films, including ‘The Pizza Delivery Man’ (2019), presented at the Rome Film Festival in the section ‘Alice in the City’, which won more than 50 awards at Italian and international festivals; ‘The Right to Vote’ (2021), a political and science fiction tale that won at the Elche and Galacticat festivals in Spain; and ‘The Aquarium’ (2024), a story about love and artificial intelligence, that premiered at the Cortinametraggio Festival, where it won the Technical Jury Prize and the Audience Award.
