The story is about a boy and his father who live in a small house on the edge of the steppe. The boy is confined to a wheelchair and can’t even hold a spoonful of porridge on his own. His dad is close to despair, but everything changes when once they watch the latest robot landing on Mars on TV... This parable is dedicated to all parents who don’t give up.

DIRECTOR'S BIO:
Zhanna Bekmambetova was born in Tashkent, grew up and studied in Moscow.
She graduated from VGIK, majorig in animation film production design.
She worked as a director on the TV series “Alice Knows What to Do”.
Her debut film “Chirrup” (2018) was awarded at many international festivals, including as Best Animated Short Film at the Shanghai International Film Festival.
Zhanna loves to draw caricatures, especially of her friends and daughter Sonya, which inspires her to new projects.
