The very essence of restoration is in bringing back what has been lost. The author of the film, who is also its main character, is trying to restore relations with his grandfather, with whom he has been out of touch for three years after a conflict. Through the prism of the film, he tries to understand his kin and rebuild the family bonding for three generations – son, father and grandfather.

My name is Nikita Zhidkov. I am a student at VGIK, majoring in non-fiction films directing in the workshop by B.Karadzhev and E. Reznikov.
Before VGIK, I studied at the Audio-Visual Technology College, where I began making my first short films.
I am a participant and finalist of several international festivals held abroad, such as Colifee 2023 (Rome, Italy) and Lift-Off First-time 2024 (London, UK), as well as Russian festivals such as
Short Shot Fest 2023 – 2025, Zilant 2024, Kolomna Short Film Festival 2024, II Moscow International Youth Film Festival High 2025.
