A mother and her six-year-old daughter come to her ex-husband’s birthday, from whom she broke up a few months ago. They are among once mutual friends and also face Dad’s new girl-friend, whom Mom sees for the first time. Adults are artfully present the façade of a celebration, trying in various ways to hide their feelings and be silent about the main thing. Mother feels uncomfortable drinking the wine she doesn’t like, with people she doesn’t like, in a place she hates.
Dad’s new date takes the floor and announces the news to everyone, after which Mom can no longer control herself. Everyone is ready for a performance, and the child…
Well, the child turns out to be the most mature person at this table.

DIRECTOR’S BIO:

Marina is 33 years old, she is an actress and screenwriter, graduated from Dmitry Brusnikin’s workshop at the Moscow Art Theater School in 2015. She works at the Brusnikin Workshop theatre and plays in films.
In 2023, she received a special prize of the Shorter Festival jury for her role in the short film Friend: Episode 7.
In 2024, she shot her debut short film Anton Is in Quest as a director.
