Dasha, nicknamed ‘Malaya’, is in love with her elder sister Nastya's boyfriend. Wanting to be closer to the guy, she keeps imposing herself, disturbing the couple and pestering her sister with questions about him. Ignoring the seriousness of Malaya's feelings, Nastya decides to teach her a lesson, but the ‘lesson’ goes too far. ‘Malaya’ is a film about competition, intimacy and infinite love of sisters.

DIRECTOR'S BIO:
Director Polina Kondratyeva was born in Moscow in 1998.
Studying at a physics and maths school and preparing to apply to the Bauman Moscow State Technical University, she applied - in secret from her parents - to the directing department of the S.A. Gerasimov All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography (VGIK), and was accepted. She worked in non-fiction filmmaking for three years, shot several documentaries, including experimental mockumentary. She started working on the sets of large feature films from her first year at VGIK. In her third year, she set up a video production agency with friends. After that she decided to work exclusively on feature films, and now Polina is in her fourth year at VGIK (workshop under A.K. & V.K. Kott).
