DIRECTOR'S BIO:

Svetlana was born on 14 December 1975 in Kostroma.
1984-1987 – Children’s Art School
1987-1994 – Moscow Academic Art Lyceum at the Surikov State Academic Institute of Fine Arts, department of painting.
1994 – animation courses with A.M. Tatarsky at the Pilot Studio.
1995-2001 – VGIK, animation and computer graphics workshop. Mentors: A.M. Gorlenko, V. P. Kolesnikova.
 2004 -2005 – school-studio SHAR, mentors: F. S. Khitruk, A. Y. Khrzhanovsky, A.M. Demin, I. L. Maksimov
2001 - 2011 – Svetlana worked at the DAGO studio as a director of commercials and a computer graphics artist.
She cooperated with such advertising agencies as Leo burnett, Native speech, BBDO, Nitro.
Over the years, she has shot ads for such brands as Coca-Cola, McDonalds, Danon, Wimm-Bill-Dann, Lukoil, Castorama, Skoda, Mars, Nescafe, Alavia, Navigator, Vneshtorgbank, Sberbank, Gardens of the Pridnestrovie.
Since 2011, she has worked on her own animated films in collaboration with studios Bee, Soyuzmultfilm, SHAR and on commercial projects for studios Mars Media, Profilm, Kinodanz, Master Film.
She is the winner of numerous prizes at Russian and foreign film festivals, awardee of the Nika and Golden Eagle National Film Awards for the best animated film of the year (“Two Trams”) in 2018.
The White Elephant Film Critics Award 2024 for the best animated film “Harms”.
Member of the Russian Union of Cinematographers.

Member of the Expert Council of the Icarus National Film Award.

Member of the Nika Film Academy.

Member of the Golden Eagle Film Academy. Member of the Commission on indie animation films of the Federal Fund for Social and Economic Support of Russian Cinematography
