Vasily, a 40-year-old Russian intellectual, is terrified to fly to Bali as a member of the jury. His sceptically minded and very caring wife, Anna, sees him off, confident that he will go missing without her. At the Ngurah Rai airport, Vasily collects a flyer of a local nightclub and decides to go to a place he hasn’t been to since school.
Life flies faster than time. In the elite club, he gulps down a ‘Hello from Neptune’ blue welcome cocktail and suddenly turns into the life and soul of the party: He rips off his jacket, dances break, burn up the dance floor all night long until he falls asleep in a sling-chair right by the sea. He gets thirsty In the morning and unknowingly eats some strange berries. Hallucinating, he mistakes a turtle and a monkey for a luxury car with a lady, and the monkey steals his purse.
He hardly makes it the last moment to the award ceremony in shabby clothes and a straw hat. He returns home tanned, in an exotic outfit and with a green mohawk under his hat. Anna, seeing a huge photo of his crazy adventures already on the Internet, faints when she sees her husband changed

I am a software developer by training. I manage teams and run projects.

Writer, economist by education, psychologist. In 2010, I wrote Financial Tales for Kids in collaboration with E. Frolova, and the book was translated into 3 languages. More than 10 books for children have been published. I’m engaged in charity events for children and adults (more than 100 events on financial literacy and sessions with the author have been held in Russia). In joint works, I act as a screenwriter and art critic.
